Last weekend my work sent me to the new Big Brother house to take some preview photos that we could stitch into a Photosynth. Now, I haven’t watched BB for years, but knowing that this is the final series, I was seriously curious to see what it’s like to be in there. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it felt. I could live in a house like that provided that, y’know, it wasn’t on TV and everything. Oh, and I could redecorate.
I could certainly see how easy it is to forget about the outside world in there. Well, forget it the wrong word. But I can see how unreal or unconsequential the outside world must feel when in there. I imagine the boos and jeers some housemates get when they’re evicted come as quite a shock.
