This was one of the more fun tasks at work recently. I was asked if I could “make some celebrities look old” in photoshop for an MSN gallery. I said yes (I’d never done it before but I saw no reason why I wouldn’t be able to) and these are the results. You can see the whole gallery here, but I figured I’d post some high-res versions of my favourites on this blog. Maybe one day I’ll write up a tutorial on how they were made.

Yesterday, at work, I was asked to create an image to illustrate an article on ‘losing your muffin top’. And create an image I did. It appears a lot of people liked it despite (or more likely, because of) its silliness. It seems a shame that it was only live on the MSN UK homepage for one day. So, for those who missed it, here’s a slightly bigger version.

It feels like I’ve been working on a lot of projects recently that have yet (or never will) see the light of day for one reason or another. So, while I’m waiting to see if my most recent design work leads to anything, I thought I’d post a few test images from a project that unfortunately didn’t work out.

I made this video months ago, but finally thought I’d upload it. It’s just me creating an image for the MSN UK homepage. It would’ve only been live online for a few hours, so I didn’t put the care in I would for some designs. However, looking at it now, I think it’s pretty decent for a rush job.

Sorry the video quality isn’t great. I hadn’t used the best settings of the screen capture software.
